I read in a magazine somewhere that if you rinse your hair in cold water just before you get out of the shower, it seals the hair shafts and makes them stronger and less likely to break.

I usually do it, but not in winter

Thanks for the tip. I always wash my hair before I get out the shower so if anything that didn't get washed out minutes earlier would get washed away.

 
I do it already because i was told a couple of years ago that it makes your hair shinny and I think it works. I didnt know it makes your hair stronger. Another benefit for freezing my tush off at the end of my shower....lol...Thanks for the tip

 
i heard that it makes it shinier. and it works! i do it occasionally when my body doesn't mind a little cold water.
