The 169 is LE from Raquel Welch, even though it's still on the site. Based on what I read elsewhere, the 168 is fluffier with a wider head, which makes it better for applying blush. I know the 169 is synthetic, but I'm not sure if the 168 is as well, or if it's made from natural hair.

I ended up going on MAC Live Chat, and this is what was said:

Aquilah: I know the 169 was a limited edition brush with Icon: Raquel Welch, and I know it's made of synthetic hair. But, what's the difference between the 168 and 169, if there is one?Brandy: Just the hair...the #169 is synthetic and the #168 is not.

Brandy: #168 Large Angled Contour Brush, which is angled with a buffed edge, is the best for contouring and blending with powder products.

Aquilah: Okay, I thought so

Aquilah: Thanks!
