Sports Forum Yay or Nay?

Recommended Posts

Ok so I was thinking a Sports Forum would be useful . . . I know I personally find it kind of hard to keep track of all the NHL games in the one thread we have, especially if we have a few games on the same night. Also, I sometimes think of threads I'd like to make but then I'm not sure if I should just post it in the NHL thread? And then I don't even bother because, again, it would be so hard to keep track of :P

Anyways, Yay or Nay to a Sports forum tongue.gif (Or at the very least, a Hockey Forum wink.gif)

Kee i am in favor of the idea, but to be honest I know this has been brought up a few times and I don't think it has legs. I still voted yes in your poll.

Aw that's too bad. My original idea was actually a temporary (for the hockey season) NHL forum but it was suggested to me that a sports forum would be better and that I should make a poll for it tongue.gif

Well the three of us and Carolyn are the only ones that post in the NHL thread... Football sank out of site since Ohappydayes left and Katnhat isn't on much.. Baseball... Yawnnnnn...

Sports specific stickies seem to work well for playoffs and special events... Olympics and such... Personally I love sports but don't see the volume based need..

Oh I really like this idea!! rockwoot.gif We already have "In the News" and "reality TV", subforums that really don't have much traffic either . . . and Sports is technically entertainment . . . brilliant! This is definitely what would work best, Imo.

I personally don't look into sport threads because they're confusing and zzz but a seperate forum would be nice and it can all be kept there instead of Gen Chit Chat. I find it annoying seeing it (sport threads) under Gen Chit Chat because technically it's entertainment - so I second a sub-forum... but it's been discussed a lot between mods and it's usually a no-go because then there would be request for other forums and there probably won't be much activity because this forum is general made up with women.

Anyway, I voted yes. Lol.

I can't really see an independant forum like that fly, perhaps a subforum would be a good idea instead. I personally wouldn't use it myself, but if it attracts a decent amout of interest in this thread, then maybe it could be considered.

Awwww... I'm reading all the posts and I hafta agree... I dunno if I'd use it much... I'm not into sports that much anymore...

Hopefully the fanatics would come crawling out the woodwork and give us a good round kick!

I voted no just because there doesn't seem to be that many sports threads and I hate all kinds of sport so I wouldn't use it.

I think if there were quite a few threads about sport going on then it would be a good idea as a subforum though.

I voted yes for the sports forum because it doesn't seem to belong in the General Chit Chat. Only a few really are interested in sports. It also seems logical that all sports should be there instead of just individual forums for each sport because of the relative small number of people that would use it.

One thing I was thinking is that you could make some social groups for the diff sports and post in there.

I voted for it (not that I'd post or even look at it but I thought it would make Karren and Carolyn happy...), but I hadn't thought of the social group. That's a great idea.

The Social Groups idea is good and actually there is already a hockey social group. But essentially a Social Group just amounts to another single thread.

I wish Social Groups could do multiple threads.

    • You might be in shape otherwise but still have a lump of fat jutting out from under your chin. And we agree, that totally spoils all the photos. But why don't you use makeup to get rid of double chin till such time you lose enough weight to get a chiseled jaw line? So even if you haven't managed to shed all that extra flab yet, but have a party that you just can't miss, don't get upset about the double chin. You can still use makeup cleverly to hide it and look fabulous in all your photos. Here are some makeup hacks that will come in handy:
    • The trick to take care of dry skin is to feed it with moisture. But, there's a drawback, we cannot overfeed it as it may lead to breakouts, acne, and pimples. Therefore, it is important to use the right product that helps to hydrate the skin without much harm.  So how do we combat dry skin?  Here are our favourite and effective product that helps to fight the dry flaky skin.  Cosrx - Hyaluronic Hydra Power Essence Hyaluronic Acid is the king of moisturization and this essence by Cosrx is full of it. It draws water into the skin and immediately moisturizes the dry & depleted skin.  Results: Skin is softer and moisturized, leaving bumpy and dry skin silky smooth. It's excellent for dry to normal skin types.  Some By Mi-H7 Hydromax Moisture Cream The name uses the word hydro max moisture to convey that nothing hydrates better than this! It soothes skin irritation, reduces skin redness and wrinkles. It also has a whitening effect and smoothes rough patches of skin. The 7 types of hyaluronic acid fill in from the deepest layer of the skin and create a barrier so that it can maintain the optimum moisture for a prolonged time. Make sure to use it after cleansing the skin.  -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Face Masks are excellent for providing ample moisture and long term hydration to the skin.  Here are our recommendations: Eunyul- Natural Moisture Mask Pack Lined with green tea extract, the facemask works to provide ample moisture to the skin while the collagen helps to reboot the skin in a short time.  Missha-Airy Fit Sheet Mask (Cucumber) This eco-friendly rice cake sheet mask is 2 times thinner than a normal sheet mask. Cucumber helps to effectively help combat dryness while the thin sheet mask feels airy and lightweight.
    • People tend to collect an amazing quantity of items over the years. Reasons for keeping items include an emotional attachment, an intention to reuse or fix the items in the future, or a wish to pass them on to others. However, for many items, if you haven't used them in over a year, you probably don't need them. Getting some help to get rid of all your rubbish isn't a bad move. Don’t want to do it yourself? These people have you covered. Leave all the heavy lifting work to them. With a professional firm like eMop, you don’t need to worry about the pick-up or disposal of those old items that you don't need any more.
    • In my opinion, Tinder is more like an application for finding a partner for one night. This is completely frivolous for me. If I look for a girl for myself, then I will start browsing serious sites. You can see an approximate review in this source. When a girl talks about marriage, this gives a better chance of a long and serious relationship.
    • Greetings! A variety of t-shirts are in fashion nowadays and I am going to share the most trendy ones: Plain White Tees - If you are thinking that plain white tees are getting out of fashion then you are wrong. Either you wear tuck tees with jeans or full sleeve plain white tees with jackets. They always look cool. Graphic T-Shirts - Yes, the craze of graphic tees is increasing not only in public but also among the celebs. Even the big brands like Nike and Gucci are also offering logo tees. You can also see some unique women graphic tees here. Colorful Dye T-Shirts - On the other hand, girls are also crazy to wear Dye t-shirts. You can see the following ones in this regard. What other tees trends do you think should females must follow in this regard? I am waiting for your responses and suggestions.
