Random moments on the Street

I was walking with my family in the city, and this guy walked past in the opposite direction. He leant toward me and said

"you're a stunner"

Now, firstly, WEIRDNESS - I'm with my mum and dad!

secondly, what does he get out of that? nothing really, since by the time I reacted we were both long gone in opposite directions!

What is the weirdest moment you've had out and about on the street?

I was walking around at the mall with a couple of friends (we dont have many street shopping centers here) and some guy came up to me and put his arm around my waist like I knew him! All he said was "you're gorgeous" and let me go. I was too stunned to punch him (who in the hell grabs a stranger so personally like that!) and mortified. My friends would not let it go the whole time. I think it was that reason that made me stop going to mall so often.

I was walking home alone in the dark once (it wasn't night time but it was dark cos it was winter) and this random guy came up to me and started talking to me.

I almost had a heart attack cos I hadn't seen him walk up to me before he spoke to me so he frightened the life out of me and then he just kept on talking to me and I was so creeped out, and then he just said bye and walked off in the opposite direction and I was like what the hell was that about?

Yeah!! I was walking around Charleston WV in a skirt suit, in the rain with my pink umbrella.. Heels.. Heading back to the car from shopping and I cut through this corner doorway and this guy was setting there just out of my view and he said "Hello, beautiful!". Startled me because I didn't see him.. And he probably didn notice I was a guy!! And then a minute later, just down the block I passed a parking garage entrance and a couple guys started whistling at me!! Now that weirded me out!! Lol

Just a couple of motnhs ago i went to checkout that supermarket, and that guy, tall, slim, big glasses, old jacket from the early 80s, comes to me, like we know each other, points me with his finger and laughs. I start walking, he doesn't seem to follow me but i still quicken my pace, there was something about him that didn't make me feel safe. After a few minutes I stop to cross the street and he's just behind me, i nearly got a heart attack because i didn't see or hear him coming, and he does that thing again. That time i stopped until i saw him leave in the opposite direction to mine, so i would be sure he wouldn't know where i was going.

I figured later maybe he was just some mentally ill guy, but his behaviour really creeped me out.

actually I remember another weird time on the street, me and 2 friends were walking down the road, and it has intermittent street lights, and so we're in the light, then the dark. Well, a group of guys walks past, and as we both step into a dark patch, one of them totally gropes my boobs! and keeps walking! and I was too stunned to say anything until I was like 100 meters down the street!

then my friends and I all hurled insults at them. But honestly! who does that?! how desperate can you be!

I had this one completely random moment a couple years ago within the week after I turned 16. It was a thursday and around 4:30pm. We had just finished grocery shopping and mum and I were laughing about something while sitting in the traffic jam and i looked over the road to see this guy with the most amazing blue eyes I have ever seen just staring at me! We stared at each other for ages until we drove up a bit and I was the first to look away lol... It was really weird, but because I was having a good day that day (I had a few pick up lines at the supermarket, too), that just topped it.

I still to this day, wonder if I'll ever see him again.

Many years ago, I pulled in to a gas station, and some really obese creepy guy on the pump along side me was staring at me and masturbating in his drivers seat.

Talk about freaking CREEPY!

Then my dumb ass gets on the cell with 911, and he of course took off, and I FOLLOWED him in my Jeep. I was running stop signs chasing him so I could get his plate number. I'd never be stupid enough to do something like that again.

But yeah....I was seriously disturbed for a couple weeks after that...I felt so violated and dirty.

Erm, I can only think of a few times off the top of my head...I was walking to the train station and a man stops me, puts his hand on my shoulder and gets really close to my face and is like "you are such a beautiful woman" haha..I think he was Italian or something. The street was so busy though I think he like held everyone up.

Then there just been random moments with my friends with pervy old men making sick comments.

I was standing around on the street where there used to be a pool hall .. I was bored and I just moved back to my hometown and this guy seen me and came right up to me and said Hi Im David.. we been together ever since that was 10 years ago

I mean how many guys come right at you and introduce themselves .. well Im glad he did lol!

well.i dunno the last time something weird happened to me out on the streets.

im pretty sure it was the time that me and boyfriend were out and about going to get some cupcake mix and stuff,anyways i was kinda looking and there i saw my enemy weirdo cheerleader ho walking and i was like "oh god,please don't let her see me" and sure enough (im pretty sure she was wasted) she walked up to me and hugged me like crazy and kissed my cheeks like ten thousand times.

my boyfriend was like "eww,when i get to your place im making you take a shower" and i did,i even washed with dish soap.

At a party one time a friend came up to me and said what a sexy top I was wearing and put her hands on my boobs and said I did not think you were wearing a bra loud enough for several people to hear. She was a little wasted so, I just blew it off.

Incident 1:

On the BART train to a friend's birthday, and some guy in VERY short cutoff shorts sits next to me and starts stroking himself. I immediately got up and left the car and got into another car and rang the driver to call security.

Incident 2:

Same BART train, different time. I had a stalker on my Wednesday night train after class, which was bad because it was the a late art class and I stayed to finish painting until they closed studio, which was around 10.45-11p, so I was always one of the only people on the train. I thought it was a coincidence at first, that the same guy would sit across from me, and stare at me without ever blinking, but after the fourth time, it was obvious. I again had to call BART security, and never sat in an empty train car again... I always make sure I sit in one with at least 2-3 other people in it.

Incident 3:

on a bus to work, my route would go by a halfway house/building for the mentally disabled, although i didn't know it at the time. I never paid attention. But one day, so guy sat behind me and started whipering to me about world war three, and genocide and how ware all are all going to die.

I was in Star City Casino (girl mode) and was leaving and walking to my van late at night.

This guy followed me (I was alone at this stage) and I walked by the taxi rank and he said can I get you a Taxi, I replied and said no thanks.

30 seconds later on the street he said can I get my car and take you somewhere. I replied and said no thanks.

He said where are you going, I replied and said I'm going home its late. He said (still walking) Can I come with you, I said no. He said: I'll pay you, I was at my van, unlocked the door got in and locked it up and drove off real quick.

I can tell you I was scared, I would say he was in his 30s fairly fit looking.

Thanks Rosie yes it was really creepy. I mean if he was interested why not approach me in the casino?

I can tell you I have wandered the streets (not very often mind you) in boy mode without a thought in my mind full of confidence.

However when I am in girl mode walking back to my vehicle alone at night I feel so much more vulnerable.

I remember a couple of Halloween's back I was downtown partying with some friends. We were walking on the street to this club, and out of nowhere this girl grabs my waist like she knew me and said "hey sexy...how you doing?" and she kisses me on the cheek. I'm like "ewwww" I'm going to have to scrub my face once I get to the nearest sink! I could totally tell she was piss drunk since I smelled alcohol on her breath.

This didn't happen on the street, but one day while I was sitting on the bus and some guy paid his fare and sat right in front of me. He then proceeds to keep turning his head back looking at me. I'm just listening to my ipod staring out the window pretending he wasn't "leering" He then mouths to me "you're beautiful" and I'm just rolling my eyes. He then took out a pen and paper and scribbles down his phone number and hands it to me. I'm telling him "i'm taken" and I refuse to take your number. He's like "it don't matter. take it anyway. you give ME a call when it doesn't work out. I'll treat like you a REAL man should" lol, I'm like what a sc*mbag....I threw the number out once I got off the bus.
