Anyone know of any really helpful makeup books for beginners? On technique, color, types, etc?

I love "Making Faces" by Kevyn Aucoin... Making Faces:Amazon:Books Or anything Bobbi Brown.. I also have an old makeup book "Ultimate guide to makeup and beauty" or something like that by Mary quant..

Making Faces - Kevyn Aucoin

Art of Makeup - Kevyn Aucoin

Face Forward - Kevyn Aucoin

Bobbi Brown Makeup Manual - Bobbi Brown

Makeup Your Mind - Francois Nars

All Very Educational

I agree with the Kevyn Aucoin suggestions. "Making Faces" was the first makeup book I read & I learned so much from it.

I like Jemma Kidd's makeup masterclass. she teaches you how to do makeup on women of different age groups, different ethnicity, different look, and different skin types. It has so much information I use it as reference all the time.

I would look in the library first. Personally, I have not found a book helpful. Nice for inspiration on looks, but they never taught me anything.
