I have the 120 3rd edition and the matte eyeshadow are patchy. I have udpp and use that as a primer and tried nyx milk, eyeliner in white as base and they still come out patchy. Should I apply the shadow wet? Any application tips, bases, or brush advise would be appreciated.

I'm not a huge fan of matte eyeshadows. I personally don't think they translate well when wet either. But you can still try that and see what happens. Otherwise just try and build up the application. That's what I do.

I also have this palette and I'm not a fan, like you said the matte eyeshadows are terrible and I also have problems with pigment.  I haven't tried them wet yet but it's worth a shot

Hey, I dont believe its all matte shadows. I've used MAC matte shadows, and have never had that problem. But since ive never seen the 120 palette, I cant give any advise other then using a tight nit brush, it'll pick up the pigment better, also after you put a matte down try not to blend too much, I find thats what makes it patchy:/ I hope I helped somewhat:)

I think I have the same palette.
I find that sometimes, primers aren't "sticky" enough for me.
Go find one of those cheap "sparkle eye shadowgloss" things, the consistency of these I find works better than some primers.
Spread a really thin layer of this on your eyes, as in there's almost no product there at all.
When you go to apply your matte eyeshadow, load your brush up and almost 'pat' it on.
Works fine for me :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I agree with you about the primer. I use Claudia Stevens eye primer that I get at Sally's Beauty and it works great. Some primers tend to dry but this is more like a lipstick/creamy consistency so eyeshadow sticks to it perfectly.
