a couple poems I wrote.....I hope you like them.

Here is a poem I wrote in memory of my Buster Boy. He died this past May of we think heart problems. He was a full blooded Schnauzer and only 4 yrs old.

My Little Buster Boy

Although I had you in my life

for only a little while

You brought so much joy and pleasure

to a life unfulfilled.

Your love, joy and pleasure too,

made my heart so fulfilled

You were my little Buster Boy

With the salt-n-pepper hair.

You followed me everywhere, inside and out

and met me at the door when I returned from anywhere

You barked even when I went to get the mail

and wagged your tail as I turned to come back

that never failed.

You loved on me when I held you on my lap

You nuzzled me when I was depressed

from what life is all about

You were my little Buster Boy

With the short and curly hair.

Although your life was cut short

You meant the world to me

You will always see it everyday

in the tears I shed for thee.

You were only with me for a short time

But you are apart of me for eternity

You were my little Buster Boy

As everyone could see.

I will never forget your cute little face

with the dark colored beard on your chin

I will never forget the way you wagged your tail

and all I had to do was call your name out

I will never forget your bushy little brows

that covered the eyes that showed me you cared

You will forever be:

My little Buster Boy!

I love you and I miss you and its so hard to part

You will forever be a permanent spark in my heart

I love you and miss you from the level of my soul

After all you ARE and ALWAYS will be

My Little Buster Dog!!

WOW you are very very talented... they are great!

I know how hard it is to lose a pet and I'm sorry to hear that.. but hopefully writing a poem made it a little easier for you to deal with the loss...

Lily, thank you for the kind words. Writing the poem helped bring alot of the pain to the surface instead of bottling it up, and reading the poem over and over keeps his memory alive to me. Again, thank you so much for the kind words.

those are lovely poems!!

i can relate to them both b/c i have a 9 1/2 year old Toy Poodle named Neeko and i am married. i couldn't imagine what it would be like to lose your pet, but i would assume it would be the equivalent of losing a child.
