Are MU workshopsbetter than MU schools?

Ive been hearing mixed opinions on makeup schools and heard that workshops work better.Has any body heard of this workshop or any other good ones?Should you have to pay out should it be free?Does it help better thatn going to MUA school?I'd love your opinions and input.
