Don't know if this is old news to some, but I just saw this & thought it needed to be shared.

The crappy thing is that I was @ the San Jose store mid-February & bought something while on vacation. Now I have to police my account even more....

Wow I shop there all the time, but it doesn't look like the stores I go to are listed!

It's really scary how easy it is to steal people's info though. I used to work in retail while I was in college and the store I worked at took your address and phone number when you made the purchase. So all I had to do was type in a person's name or even part of a random name and up came all their private info along with their purchases and copies of the receipts with the credit card numbers on there. Any idiot could have stolen tons of people's personal info that way.

DSW isn't the only one...a friend of mine lost the credit card and charges over $7G was racked up on the account...(but the person in customer service at american express said watch out for PAYLESS SHOES !!!! they've had hundreds & hundreds of credit card fraud with Payless !!!
Wassup with these 'shoe stores' -why not pick Saks or Nieman Marcus???? go figure?????

When I heard about this I called my bank and asked for a new account number for my debit card. It took about a week for the new card but at least I don't have to worry about it anymore.
