GET THE LOOK ( Eye Makeup For the Multi By Bree Show By Rudy Miles For Aveda)

The impressive, sophisticated fashions in the Multi by Bree show for Fall, 2005 required equally impressive, sophisticated makeup. Rudy Miles for AVEDA was the master of makeup for this show and definitely up to the challenge. The overall look, according to Mr. Miles was “A tribute to the professional woman who embraces makeup and understand that makeup is a powerful accessory. She doesn’t take it all too seriously, however..†The beautiful models, many of whom had medium to deep complexions, were made up with AVEDA Inner Light Liquid Foundation and Concealer set with loose powder. This gave faces a medium but natural-looking coverage with a semi-matte finish. Eyes matched the luxe vibe of the clothes, played up with smoky and color combinations of black and copper. (See our BONUS do-it-yourself instructions, below). Eyes were colored with Copper shadow, defined and lined with Black Tulip and Black Orchid Eye Definer Pencil. To finish and balance this dramatic eye look, Mr. Miles used false lashes and tons of mascara! Brows were groomed and colored with tones appropriate to the model’s own. Blush in SUMAC, a gorgeous medium-browned pink, was a universally-flattering blush on all the models. When eyes are this deep, lips do not need to be quite as flashy. Sheer, shimmery, good-for-you Lip Tint SPF 15 in Verbena, a medium berry, and Lip Shine in Amaranth, a transparent beet-colored gloss, was the finishing touch.
