I know so many of you are trying to lose weight and I so sympathize cause I understand the frustrations. I suffer from anorexia and need to gain weight. It puts so much strain on my husband and family. I'm 5 "4" and weigh 107 and I think thats fine. Alot better than where I was before but my dietician and hubby think I really need to gain. I'm scared to death. The thought frightens me even though I think I look fine they think I'm too thin. Its such a vicious cycle.

I don't know alot about anorexia but from your height and weight it sounds like your getting on the right track to get healthy.

I think you should take it slow and not focus so much on pounds. you know that your better which is good.

I've heard that its actually harder to gain weight than it is to lose weight, and your family might not be as understanding about that as they should.

Good luck on your journey though. :)

About whether it's easier to gain or lose, it really depends on the person and a lot of factors.

Anyway, it sounds like you are in the lower range of a healthy weight and as long as you are being healthy and eating nutritious foods and being active, I would not worry so much about the number on the scale. It matters more how much energy you feel like you have and getting enough nutrients and calories.

Anyway, good luck on your progress to becoming healthier.

I wish you luck on this. I weighed 102 pounds at 5'3 when I was 25 and I didnt look healthy and I was always cold.I think 115-120 would look great and it would be healthy.

Good luck. Trying to put on weight is a tough battle. I was severely underweight due to illness earlier this year, and it was so difficult to put on weight. It took me 3 months to put on 6 kilo's, and it was a huge struggle.

Now I weight more, I have bits of my body that I don't like, but I'm much healthier, and that's the most important thing to me.

I'm sorry you're stuck in this battle with your self-image. I've never suffered specifically from anorexia, but I was eating disordered for several years; it really is a living hell a lot of the time. Obviously you are a beautiful woman, with a husband and family who love you dearly. I'm glad you've been able to make some progress and wish you the best! You deserve so much more than a life with anorexia. Good luck

Good luck on your recovery. I definitely wish you the best! It's great to hear that you have a support system with your husband and family.
