bead comparison (brush holders)

Guys, 

Have any of you compared these glass beads http://www.save-on-crafts.com/glasspearls1.html with the flint glass/soda lime beads that Sephora uses http://www.ebay.com/itm/FLINT-GLASS-SODA-LIME-BEADS-4-mm-COLUMN-PACKING-150-g-/270395045171?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3ef4ccf533

Also, what size 3mm? 4mm? 5mm?

I haven't compared them but I think maybe a medium bead would be best. You don't want them big and clunky but you don't want your brushes falling over. Have you checked your local dollar store craft section? I know ours occasionally has this sort of thing.

Hi Daly, 

I live in the UK (as an American expat) and the Pounland is not even close to what a Dollar store stocks :-(  Stores such as Michael's and Hobby Lobby don't really exist out here either.

So I am shooting for the flint glass ones, the glass beads or possible clear plastic pellets but I want to know what size exactly (3, 4 or 5 mm all small) and which have been compared tried and tested.
