Birth Control question

Alright, today is Sunday, I want to start my pack of birth control, BUT when I went to the Pharmacy to get my Rx, it was closed. I found a pack that had a bunch of pills in it, same birth control, but it was missing three of the first "active" pills for week 1. I took the 4th pill in the pack, just as a "safety" thing. My question is, will starting the 4th pill of a different pack really effect my pregnancy prevention? I am going to take the pills in my new pack starting tomorrow. I would assume that since the hormone is the same the 1st week, it wouldn't really make a big difference.

I'd rather ask you girls before I go and cal my doctor tomorrow -- worth a shot.

Probably it won't - most pills nowadays have the same hormonal level throughout (sp?) all days. The order is just to make it easier to follow.

But then it's always safer to ask the doctor - we can provide you the wrong answer, after all most of us aren't doctors.
