Hi, I recently dyed my light blonde hair to dark blonde, Im wanting to go a little darker. Here's a pic of how it is right now.

It looks a lil red but its not, its just the lighting. <IMG=SRC"<A target="_blank" href="http://myspace-637.vo.llnwd.net/00188/73/63/188103637_m.jpg">I want to know if I can go from blonde to brown withought it looking all fakey. Can a blonde go brown and it look good? Ive seen people who do that and sometimes it looks horrible. Im not displeased with this color, i really like it i just want to see it darker. I usually buy my dye at Sally Supply stores, is there a certain brand you can recommend, or a certain shade that would look good? thanks!

tracey,

it is a little bit hard to tell from the lighting in your picture what your coloring is precisely, but i think this color must look better than it did blonde. your eyebrows are, judging from the photo, a medium brown and your skin is fair, but not pale-pale.

i think you could go darker too, but i would recommend going to a professional. a professional could pick out the best darker shade that would suit your coloring. maybe some highlights in a lighter brown and a darker base?

Going darker would be no problem seeing that you have darkened it already somewhat, as long as you stick with the same tonal value you have now, you should be okay. If you see a color that you like, try going one shade lighter just in case. Good luck and post pics afterwards (with better lighting, LOL)

Yeah... it's better to go little by little. You can always go darker a lot easier than going too dark, finding you don't like it, and then going lighter again. Espresso and chesnut colors are always usually a safe pick
