I have heard that red pigments are the ones ( more than say blue or green) to cause reactions in your skin. And that scent in a cosmetic is usually the most allergenic ingredient.

Check the ingredient statement and look for Mineral Oil and/ or Lanolin. Those can also be problematic.

Do other blushes cause this problem? Is the the first time you have experienced it?

Hi kokil.....well i have the same problem too. because i am acne prone skin...oily. anyway, I am very very carefull when choosing my blusher. I use AVERINE blusher. and also signature mineral blusher. and the brush....try to keep it in a clean and dry area.

My blusher,my foundation and powder and even concealer. i have to choose a very good one...and im very particular with their ingridients. because of my problematic skin. So far...averine..help me alot.

it could be the actual brand you're having a reaction to. has it happened with any other brands?

i think i'm allergic to the powdered glitter in the blush.......or maybe some ingredient .......but i'll definately try washing my brushes regularly...............once i used a cheap brand of blush ......actually it was mac's fake and it had this glitter in it ..........and i got such a bad reaction to it that since them i1ve had enlarged pores arnd my nose ............it1s quite better now but i still feel one shud be reallt careful with esp. blushes........

Your reaction is probably because it is a fake. They put lots of bad ingredients/chemicals in that stuff, I wouldn't risk it.
