I figured that with Halloween approaching, and celestial looks being so popular lately, that maybe some of you would benefit from some inspiration or knowledge of techniques used to create these kinds of looks.
These images are part of a photo project involving tattooed models.
The models got to help in picking their concepts, and Alyssa wanted to be in space. We decided on a sci fi/fantasy "glamorous space goddess" concept, inspired by Cassiopeia.
BREAKDOWN:
I applied Rimmel Clean Finish foundation in Ivory to her skin. She didn't need much coverage.
She didn't have eyebrows, so I created some by blending soft matte browns from the Wet N Wild Vanity Palette with a light concealer for opaqueness. This allowed me to match her hair color perfectly, and the concealer made for a more blendable and natural finish than a brow pencil would have.
The base of the eye is the NYX shadow trio in Purple/Deep Purple/Prune, used with Urban Decay's Asphyxia pigment, Glamour Doll Eyes "Glam Girl", "Tokyo" and "Tattooed". I lined the waterline with a white kohl pencil, drawing slightly beneath it, set it with Glamour Doll Eyes "Cloud Coverage", and then used a black liquid liner to trace the upper lash line and the false waterline created by the white liner, to give the shape of a new eye. The model has very small eyes with minimal lid space, and in using this artistic effect, I've slightly changed the eye to appear wide open, and nearly alien like, in an elegant, "space goddessy" way.
I layed star shaped stickers over one half of the face, and applied Glamour Doll Eyes "Trophy Wife" dry with a large brush, making sure to concentrate the pigments around the star stickers, and blended it downward somewhat erratically, trying to use round shapes.
I then removed the stickers and was left with a negative image of the stars.
I applied very full, long lashes to the upper lashline, then bent another pair backwards and used them on the false waterline.
On the exposed cheek, I lightly used Urban Decay's Asphyxia pigment in place of blush.
The lip was kept simple with the use of CoverGirl LipPerfection Lipstick in Heavenly over top of NYX Slim Lip Pencil in Rose.
I hope everyone loves to look at this makeup as much as I loved creating it!

Stunning and original. I had to go back and check out her brows because I had no idea you had to create them; they look natural.
