I was wondering who here has breast implants? If anyone of you have them do you like them and if not, why? Have you had any problems with them? Im thinking about getting them. It'll be a while before I decide to get them and Im just wondering if you of you had any probs with them and if you like them. Also, what size were you before and what size are you now? Another thing, what kind of implants did you get? Saline or silicone? What kind of procedure did you get? Through the armpit, navel or below the nipple or whatever its called? I would really like your input here. Some other things...how much did it cost you and how long was the recovery time? Thanks.

We had a recent thread about plastic surgery in general a while ago , but on Bath and Body talk! Here's the topic - there you have a lot of people who gave their opinion and experiences with various surgeries. https://forum.makeuptalk.com/f29...ery-23429.html

I can't offer you any input other than that, really, because i reduced my breasts, and i love them to be small. People sometimes don't realize what a hassle big boobs can be (you can easily look fat if you have them :/)

You know I never really thought of the last statement you said about looking fat with them. I'll take that into consideration. Thanks for the link.

My cousin (23, like me) just got implants a week ago. I´m going to see her tomorrow and check out the surgeon´s work lol

She was an AA cup before, and "only" went up to a B cup because she doesn´t like the look of big boobs, she just wanted a little something up there ya know. She got silicone implants, and they were inserted in the crease below the boob. Her hospital stay was a little proloned because she was bleeding pretty badly, but other than that she was fine. She described medium pain allover her chest ("as if someone was sitting on top of her chest") and she was unable to lift her arms for a couple of days.

The scar is still a little itchy according to her, but other than that she loves her implants. Of course there´s still some swelling, so after a few weeks they will "drop" a little bit and look more natural.

But so far she´s in love with her new boobies and finally feels like a woman (that´s what she said)

I´ll update you guys after I have seen them IRL.

I would not get breast implants for the one reason is that it is difficult to detect breast cancer if you have implants. Thais or Andi is better qualified to explain that more fully.

The patient was already under anyway lol) and they felt like balloons!

I have them. I got them when I was 24 and pretty insecure about having small, unattractive ( in my opinion ) boobs. They are saline and were put under the muscle through my nipples. I..They look good still ( Im almost 34 now ) but they are always a worry. I wonder just how long they will last, if my 2 young sons jumping and wrestling with me will "pop" them. ( Silly as that seems ) Sometimes I wish I had just worked on loving myself for how I was rather than going through that. But ~ alas, they are here. lol.

Now, in my 30's I have a lot more confidence and security in myself, just by living life and going through the expiriences I have like having kids etc . ( Too bad we rarely have that feeling of contentment in our early 20's )

They cost $4000 then and I took a loan to get them. I paid for them for 4 years - lol.

I guess , I'm pretty neutral about my feelings about getting them to others. If you feel they will improve how you see your body and that makes you happy, go for it. If you are expecting life changing wonders, that wont happen

Yea Ive wanted to get them for quite some time now. Im only 20 and have saggy boobs and it sucks so I want a lift and add some more boob. Im waitin for a while tho cuz I dont have the money right now so it'll be a while before anything happens. Gotta find a surgeon and everything like that and how much and stuff so hopefully in the near future I'll know more and hopefully I'll get them.

i've contemplated about getting them done...for a good 5 years and as i get older, i don't find it such a big deal anymore. Sometimes, it's nice to have big boobs...it makes you feel hawt and sexy but when it comes right down to it...i think smaller is better because it's less hassle...you can go out without a bra like all the time, they are always super perky and cute and guys look at you..and not your boobs. I had a friend who was obviously bigger than i was..and hated the unnecessary attention that went with it and got hers reduced.

Then again, if they start to look a bit deflated and gravity starts kicking in...then why not get them done as long as it's natural looking ..i think it can do wonders for self esteem...imo

I know several women that have had reductions - including myself. I totally agree with Lia - small cute and perky are the best.

About 20 years ago, I knew a woman that had silicon implants. One of her breast was rock hard and the other one felt normal. She was desperate to have them removed but she did not have the money for the surgery - and the province would not pay for the surgery.

All she wanted was to get them out of her - big regrets for sure.

In my community, if a lady gets implants, she can still have a mammogram. But it is done with a specific machine as the normal ones can't penetrate the implant image. Our provincial health plan covers the mammograms but you want to enquire about these expenses in your area.

Here is what I know about breast implants...

-Most people don't know this, but you have to replace the implants every 10 years.

-You get what you pay for... The going rate for a good job in Orange County is $7,000 (I believe there is an additional $75 just for the consultation), that doesn't include the medication either.

-If you plan to breast feed after surgery, then you have to get the implants under the muscle.

-Scars are less noticeable when inserted through the nipple.

-Most people wish they had gone bigger after surgery.

I don't have mine done, but when you live in OC you learn a thing or two about implants.

Do what makes you happy. In my opinion, Its not worth it. I'm a D34 though and wouldn't know how I would feel with smaller breasts. Good luck hun!

i think it just depends on the person body, how they're built. i'm small frame, small chest, but it goes with my body. i've always wanted mine to be bigger, but to also fit my frame. i know people who've got them and love them, and then some who've had problems. i'm scared to get them, b/c i'm scared of having something serious go wrong. mine are small, but they're still nice(and i've breasfed two babies). i'd rather mine be small and look normal than bigger and deformed or have problems. i personally think anything over a c is too big. but that's just me.

I got saline implants when I was 20 (you can't get silicone until 21).  I went from an almost 34 A to a 34 C or D.  Got put in under the crease and have had them for 6.5 years.  I have never had any problems and they are still perky.

Don't do it unless you think they are ugly( and consider that might be just you overreacting).  There can be  side effects and it doesn't worth it only to look good
