I just bought one today at Michaels and this is the coolest thing! Okay, maybe I'm the last person in the state to own one, but I'm excited...lol! A candle warmer is basically a coffee warmer for jar candles. The heat will liquify the wax and emit the fragrance without flame. Several of my Yankee Candles were down to the bottom and I consolidated the remnants into one jar and made a new scent. Tonights scent is Banana Bread, Harvest and Cinnamon. Autumn heavenly! I like not having to smell the blown-out candle smoke.

The one I bought at Michaels was reduced to $3.33! I've seen these at Bed Bath and Beyond (different manufacturer) for $14.99.

Candle warmers are great. I have one and I love it. I even use it with tarts sometimes. I just use an oven proof ramekin and put the tarts in it. I have a cranberry spice jar candle that I bought last year at Walmart and it still throws scent because I keep putting it on once in a while just for the wintery scent (to help me deal with the 90+ temps).

I've been using them for years and I love them! I use coffee warmers for my votives (just put them into regular glass candle holders) and smaller jar candles, but for the larger jar candles you do need to get the "specific" candle warmers since they are bigger! Also, while you are baking you can set the jar candles on top of the stove and the heat from the oven will melt the wax and throw the scent of the candle out. Simple trick from my Party Lite rep!

i must be way behind the times, because i have never heard of these. im all about my tart warmer, though. i have a licorice halloween jar candle that has only a few inches left, and the wick is lost in the wax. i sometimes put it on the stove to warm it up. i swear ive had the thing since 1997, and its still going strong. lol. its a cheapie kroger candle, too!

I never thought about sticking a jar candle on the stove while the oven is on. Thanks for the great tip! Y'know, I think I still have a baby-sized crock pot that would probably hold a larger jar candle. This'll be fun! Aren't autumn and winter awsome for candles? Snuggly seasons. Yaaa!!

Hi katrink - I learned a new word today: ramekin. That sounds much more interesting than "little baking dish"...haha! I have a few that I'll try out for tarts. Great suggestion!

thanks kitty, thats a great idea- I'm gonna order one. I WUVVV candles.

Question: Is the scent just as strong when you use the candle warmer?

shoey, the scent is STRONGER! Prolly so because all the wax is melted. Today I went out and bought some tarts for my little warmer, and a pretty little cermanic ramekin at Target for $1.99. The tarts I'm cookin' tonight are Coconut Bay and Tropical Fruit. Mmm!
