Cell phone question!

A while ago I had the Audivox CDM 8600 well it was over 2 years ago. And I loved that phone didnt have all this fancy crap just texting phone book and calling, everything I needed. Well my dad got it shut off right before I stopped seeing him and I kept the phone. Now its lost but I can get the same phone online pretty darn cheap. My question is since nowhere carries it , if I take it to a store [sprint verizon ect.] can I get it reactivated? Or could I possiably use it as a pre-paided phone?

i am not sure about prepaid but if it is an older phone, the technology may be too advanced for another carrier to activate it. My mom had an old Nokia that she loved but AT&T told her that she needed to upgrade because it was not going to be supported or something like that. Call sprint,etc and ask them if they would.

I got the audiovox 8930 its nice they still have it in my town as prepaid

Oh Ricci that ones cool. I like how the top turns. I wonder if they have it in the States. I dont know how much different the States & Canadas phone systems are.
