This year i am dressing up as cleopatra, ive search the web and found a few pics but not much of my liking. anyone has any ideas on the make up or better yet, has anyone done a cleopatra look before and has some pictures of it... thanks.

I found this one, Elizabeth Taylor o'course, but it gives you a good view of the eye from the side, I do really like the line like that

. Seems like "Cleopatra" style is basically darkening the eyebrows, really dark eyeliner (bring the edge of the "cat-eye" line close to your eyebrow line), a grey or blue eyeshadow, and nude or lightly tinted lips.

There is also a book called Cleopatra's Face by Michelle Lovric, maybe you can go to your local Barnes & Noble or Borders and check it out there (bring a camera to take pics for yourself so you don't have to buy the book!).

Here is another picture with slightly darker lips and not-so-straight hair:

I saw this on DeviantArt (this is a GREAT site for ideas!!) and thought it was awesome:

I have always wanted to do Cleopatra makeup, maybe this is a good time to give it a whirl and post my pic for you!

Oh and be sure to work the golden tan and bronzer!!

Hi,

Check out how Kevyn Aucoin transformed Tina Turner into Cleopatra. I think it's in his "Face Forward" book.

Anyway I was kind of bored (although I should be painting my kitchen) and did one eye. I don't have the best eye shape for this, but it was fun at any rate. I used:

Rimmel black eyeliner pencil

MAC Freshwater

MAC Steamy

Covergirl Champagne highlighter

(forgot to do the mascara, duhh!! lol)

Physician's Forumula Bronzer (the sun shaped one)

First two pics were taken with flash in a darker spot in my house, which usually picks up the color better.. Third pic was taken with the light from my sliding door (my favorite picture spot :p /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />).

(See, weird eye shape for this lol)

I usually dont' line my bottom eyelid because it makes my eye look droopy on the ends. Anyway, it was a blast, hope this helps!!

That picture looks great!! However I would more black liner on the top of the eye and some on the waterline.

oo I do really like that look with all black eyeshadow too. I think anything Cleopatra would wear would be very bold, being the queen she was!

You kno, I got the Aucoin Book and saw Tina and said to myself

"You should do Cleopatra!"

I thawt I was bein original... Poor me...
