So I'm in need of a new foundation. I'm currently using L'OREAL HIP foundation in Tan and Honey. I want to try Iman's Cream to Powder Foundation. I need to know if C2P foundation is a bad choice for oily skin.

Any other suggestions?

1. I want something I can apply quickly.

2. I definately want a drug store brand. I don't want to go to a counter and I don't want to spend $30.

3. No liquid

Thanks IA

I've only used Mary Kay's Cream-to-Powder before, and I had pretty oily skin then. It worked okay, but I couldn't get a color match. Have you looked into Maybelline's Dream Matte Mousse? I looked for similar threads that might help, but cream-to-powder foundations don't seem to be used a lot here on MuT. Hopefully someone can answer your question though

Hi,

If your skin is oily, it's best to use a water-based foundation. Iman does have silicone based oil free foundation sticks that are wonderful. She also has the oil control semi-loose powder or oil control pressed powder.

Max Factor and CG have C2P's they're kind of the same company, but they have different shades. It's really bad on my dry skin though, so I don't use it a lot.

In the past I used Avon and Beauticontrol. Avon was $10 and BC $14.50 then I converted to MMU.

If I got a stick foundation I might as well stick with my current foundation. I know I need something that's oil free, I just don't know if C2P is a good choice for my skin. I don't know if my reasoning is off but, I thought a C2P compact would be quicker to apply.

i think that iman may have the best cream to powder foundation imo. i just wanted to add that my skin is oily also and anything but a liquid makes my skin an oil slick after a while. even oil free creams and cream to powders end up looking greasy by the end of the day for me at certain times of the year.

i know i've suggested this many times, but it works pretty good for me as a drug store brand. posner corrective cover creme gives great coverage. the only problem is that you'd need a powder also. i would suggest physicians formula bronzer. hope this helps!

Thank you, it's just what I wanted to know. My current foundatrion is the only one I've ever used (liquid). I get shiny after a hour! So I don't want anything that will emphasize the oiliness

. Thanks again

I've was fond of Revlon One Step cream to powder foundation. It does a great job, has a pretty good color range and can be purchased for $8-$12.00 at Walmart & CVS.

i use benefit's "some kinda gorgeous" and i like it a lot. it gives me a light to medium coverage and it looks really nice. it does stick to dry spots so you should moisturize before you use it. i know some of my friends break out using this, so try it at the counter before you buy it.

Physicians Formula has one, IDK if they have it in stores, but I saw it on their website. I only saw three shades and I'm going to try it one day. I love that brand.

Also, if you're looking for a mattifying foundation, Maybellines new Mineral Liquid Foundation goes on pretty matte. I don't like it on my skin, so I mix it with another, but if that's what you're looking for, then give it a try.

ive heard that loreal cashmere perfect is really good. it is a liquid, but it drys to a powder finish, and it super good for oily skin

i dont think all drug stores carry it...

ulta does however.

its worth a try!
