Ladies, if you like to put rollers in your hair, here are a few small tips to keep in mind. Remember as well, that what works well for one person may not work as well for you. To begin with, you will need a tail comb for sectioning, styling mist, pins for the rollers, and of course rollers, which are picked according to the size of curl you would like. Wash your hair well with a good shampoo and conditioner. Allow your hair to partially dry and add your favorite styling product. There are numerous types of products on the market and one that can be sprayed on is easiest to work with.

Start at the crown and work your way around, but you can use whatever method you feel most comfortable with. Remember to practice, as the first time may be a little messy, but keep trying and you will get better and work out a system that you are comfortable with.

Using a tail comb, section off your hair and apply your first roller. When you section your hair, make sure that it is no wider than the roller. You can pin the roller in place if necessary, and continue until all the hair is rolled and secured. One important thing to remember is to make sure that when you put the roller on that it is firmly in place against the scalp, the firmer, the better as this will lift the root and give you a better curl. Keep a mist bottle close by as you may find your hair drying out before you finish rolling your sections. Purchase a good hair spray, and when you have finished putting all of your hair into rollers, you can spray the entire set and allow it to dry on its own, or you can use a bonnet drier. When finished, dry gently and carefully remove the rollers.
