I hope someone has a fabulous tip I haven't tried because this is driving me bonkers. My eyes are really deep set in my head, so much so that I can't even use one of the conventional lash curlers. It just bumps up against my brow bone and never even gets to my lashes. No worries, I don't think I really need it but I do have a beef with mascara smudges.

I tried waterproof mascara hoping that it'd been too tough to melt off and it didn't. BUT it never failed that I'd get a flake or two in one contact or the other and I'd have to throw them away. So I ditched the waterproof.

I also tried making sure my lids/brow bone weren't sticky, thinking maybe that's why the mascara was coming off but nothing's helped that I've tried.

Tell me there's some wonderful, inexpensive mascara that I haven't tried yet that will banish these smudges!

I really like Bourjois - can't get it here, but since you live in America, check out Bourjois Paris Cosmetics - you can buy a number of their mascaras at Sephora, and they're in the $10-$20 range. I've not been able to try the newer ones, but they've always been amongst the best I've used.

Trivia: It was the original M Bourjois who invented baked powdered blush back in 1863, to solve the 'gross factor' of theatrical make-up - it was all literally 'greasepaint' back then. They still have cool little pot blushes now.

But do check them out - it won't break the bank, and there's a mini-one that's maybe $5 or $6, if you're really feeling uncertain.
