I was doing some surfing around Ebay and I came across this gem of a seller, Korkoypon. Every MAC item this person is selling is fake.

I can't believe how utterly transparent this seller is.

This is why I really don't shop on ebay anymore.

I know this is a common practice, but this seller isn't even trying to make this stuff look authentic. And yet people are still buying it.

Hi:
Thanks for the heads up. Is there a special thread here on MUT where we are listing these sellers?

Happy Holidays.

8 bids on an obviously-fake item?! That's crazy, I just feel like messaging all the bidders and warning them.

Their auctions have a lot of bids! Some are getting pretty up there in price.

I think there's a way to notify ebay. This person has no feedback, but there are a lot of bids on his/her items. Maybe they're shill bidding too.

Yeah, but newbies to makeup wouldn't know the difference if it were real or fake.

I suggest just notifying... I stopped buying from there now ever since I watched this video and received a fake MAC brush myself. Ugh.

I buy from ebay but my mum gave me the best advice and I always stick to it:

just like if you were overseas and buying things, buy it because you like it, not because you think it's the real deal - and pay what you are prepared to pay for that item with the knowledge that it might be fake.

something like makeup I probably wouldn't buy at all on ebay because I can't test it, but I basically keep in mind that bags, shoes, whatever - probably aren't real. But if I still like it, I'll pay up to the price I can afford or that I think is reasonable.

this works really well in places where you're a tourist and you are worried you'll be ripped off with a fake papyrus or a cheap whatever

What gets me the most about this seller and other fakers, isn't that they are trying to capitalize on the MAC craze, but that no one really knows what the ingredients are in these products. There could be really dangerous stuff in these products that could cause health problems.
