Hi everyone. I'm new here and I'm about to take the first time plunge into Everyday Minerals (after being a faithful BE user for 5-10 years. It's been so long I can't even remember when I started!).

My first question: Does anyone wear Sunkissed Fair? The description scares me with the "boost of color" mention. It makes me think it is bronzed or shiny or something of that nature. I'm torn between that and Fairly Light as my second color for now (I'm going to order the I Can't Believe It kit to start with).

I received my initial EM samples the other day but they came at the same time as my entire Laura Mercier mineral haul from Sephora. Since that set cost me $85 I felt like I should try them first. I loved how the Laura Mercier stuff looked after I applied it (their Real Sand is a perfect match for my skin, which was so shocking to me because I have awful luck with colors) but it has bismuth so my skin started to itch mid-day. Plus it looked strange on my skin after a few hours (like BE does to me). I tried EDM on my face this morning (Sandy Fair Matte) and it looked a little light in the jar and after my initial application but it looks fine now, I think. I'm going to go with another shade up in case I need to mix. I didn't really get the coverage I wanted because I was trying to conserve on my sample so it'll last until my full order arrives. Unfortunately I don't think that'll happen because I'm notorious for overusing products!

So should I go with the intensive formula if I'm looking for more coverage? I don't really need the oil control it promises, just something that'll cover spots better than the matte did. Agh so many color and formulation combos stresses me out! LOL

One more question! Do they always offer a discount and/or freebie promotion? I want to order ASAP to take advantage of the current offer but I'll be so excited if it's a constant thing.

Thanks for any help! Other tips or tricks would definitely be welcome, too.

And yes, they're having almost constantly great promotions. That one is pretty nice though

Thanks! I was torn because it looks a tad darker on the color guide so I wanted to get a few opinions here. Do you like the color?

The pics are misleading. Sunkissed is definitely between Sandy Fair and Fairly Light in color. As for finish, I only use the Semi-matte. I know lots of people swear by the Intensive. There is also NO reason why you couldn't mix finishes on your face at one time.

This is so overwhelming! I'm sure I'll try everything eventually but I just can't decide on an initial combo. Do I go with the color that looks decent on me and try two different formulas or do I stick with one formula and get the one color but a shade darker as well. I'm horrible at making decisions in the first place so this is killing me. LOL

I would advise to go first for the right color then try to decide about the formula : go for semi-matte everywhere and then when you're sure about the color, reorder samples of matte, intensive and original glo. That way you won't put a formula aside because the color wasn't right and all the color you'll compare will be "equals".

Thanks for the info! Unfortunately I placed my order last night and went with the matte.

At least I'll have a reason to re-order once a new coupon code is (hopefully) up soon!

Maybe it is too late for now. But I use both sunkissed fair and fairly light. I find there is a very liitle differences in the color shades in the formulas.

I use Sunkissed fair in semi-matte but in intensive formla the colors a little bit darker so I go with fairly light in the intensive formula an they are perfect matches.

I am always smiling on the description of "sunkissed", because there is nothing sunkissed in my skin for sure. I am from Canada and more than that am from North part of Canada, there is barely 2 month summer here.

There's nothing scary about it -- it's a bit lighter than Fairly Light, and quite a bit darker than Sandy Fair. When I recently ran out of my Sunkissed Fair samples, I mixed Sandy Fair and Fairly Light together to obtain a decent colour match. I really like Sunkissed Fair and I've ordered two full size containers of it, so I'm hoping it's my HG and I haven't wasted all that money, lol.

I wear the Matte formula. To be honest, I have found zero difference b/w the semi-matte and matte. I went a few days with the left side of my face in Sunkissed Fair semi-matte and the right side of my face in Sunkissed Fair matte as a little experiment, and there was no difference right after application or at the end of the day. Anyway, I decided to go with the matte because my skin is very oily, even now in the winter, and in the summer it's oily enough to make a grilled cheese sandwich (sorry for that horrible mental image).

Ahh thank you! That makes me feel a lot better about choosing sunkissed fair, and also in matte over semi-matte. I've been trying to conserve my samples until my full size order arrives so tonight I used Bare Escentuals and Laura Mercier all over my face as a base. Then I touched up with a thin layer of EDM matte & semi matte and I used the Intensive formula just on my problem areas and I was really happy with the coverage. With my next order I'm definitely going to get a full size jar of Intensive for that specific purpose.

Sandy Fair is pretty good for me so I don't know if Sunkissed Fair will be too dark but I purchased a few mixing jars so I'll definitely try a combo of the two! I chose the lightest colors in a few of the color families and they all seem to be very forgiving so I like that a lot.

I hope they have a great new freebie offer up on Monday because once my first order arrives (cross your fingers for tomorrow or Saturday!) and I test out the new colors I chose to sample I'll be all ready to place another order! LOL

Hmm...I never thought to layer intensive formula or concealer over top of my foundation! Does that work well? I hide my blemishes/acne scars with EDM concealer, but I always put the concealer on underneath. I guess I figured it would blend more easily that way.

Sunkissed Fair will probably be a little dark for you if Sandy Fair is good, but you can always save it for summer when you'll be a little darker. I hope the shades work out!!

I can't wait for the new special to appear on the website...even though I've got to force myself to stop ordering stuff!!! I always talk myself into buying more makeup because those darn specials are so tempting, lol.
