Has anyone ever heard of this brand?

elegantminerals.com They have foundation sample kits for 1 cent!!! Yes one cent!! the colors look very natural but they only offer two lipstick shades. Any feedback will be appreciated. Thanks!!

One cent samples, but the shipping is $6.24. I don't mind paying reasonable shipping charges, but that steep for 4 samples.

Also, their site mentions that they get their minerals from a wholesaler--so I'd assume it's no different than a lot of the small MMU products.

thanks so much for the reply! When I had ordered EDM some time ago their fee was$7 and that was just for their free kit and 3 eyeshadow samples. what I like about the samples from elegant minerals is that they come in jars not baggies. Anybody else heard of this company? Thanks again

I tried almost all of their products: foundation, eyeshadow, skincare. Generaly I really liked them, it is an excellent quality, but they are pricey.

The foundation gave me nice coverage, and good color matches for my very fair skin.

They eyeshadows are nice classy rather subtle colors, which is not that common in MMU. I am a 30+ old researcher working at a university , so I do not want flashy, shinny, vibrant colors. I think they product are matching their name, they create an elegant classy look.

If you are very young and/or like strong vibrant colors , which catching attention, it might not be for you. On the other hand if you are a working professional, who want natural looking makeup wihout being noticed to wear a lot of makeup it is a probably a good fit for you.

Overal a great product, but the price...

They are the most expensive company I tried with $32 for a full 30g jar!

Also their samples are not generous at all compare to other companies. A sample from them lasted me about 5 application, while I can use an EDM sample for 3 weeks (every day) easily. Also they claim that the 1 cent samples is 3 g (compare to 30g full size product). If the full size would last only 10 times more then the samle, which would be be 2 month for me. Well, I am not prepared to spend this amount on makeup.

I've noticed that many larger retailers are offering free shipping in order to kickstart holiday sales [Clinique, Sephora, among others.] I hope more of the small MMU companies follow suit.

They say it's a full 3mg JAR. If there's a sifter in there, you can't even fit a gram; probably closer to half a gram. Same thing with all their products; they tell you what the weight is by volume, not by how much is really in there.

I've tried the samples and found a color match with them. Hooray! ***dancing in a circle*** the sample jars are easier to use. i've tried samples from other companies before, the baggies suck! the minerals stick to the inside of the bag and there's alot of waste.

I got a few eye shadow samples from elegant minerals too..... those will last about 3 weeks.... i've noticed that the shadows last longer than the other mmu companies iv'e tried.

I tried the original formula of the foundtions but its really light for me.

now the selling the concealer foundation formula and I want try this..

I bought from Elegant Minerals several times, but I have yet to try what I purchased.

I've went to their website several times and their stuff are next on my To-Buy list. The colors look great, so I'm definitely going to give them a try!
