id like to know which you think is the best eye primer ie to keep eyeshadow in place

but im talking mineral based

I haven't come across any mineral eye primers in any of the websites. Maybe someone has? UDPP is the only thing that makes my e/s stay put. Even those cream types sold by mineral makeup sites don't work for me.

usually i use udpp, but once i tried the combination of foundation, concealer and a neutral e/s (i use it as a base and to cover my blue discolorations) on my lids. the e/s i applied after didn't crease, but lol there was 3 layers of mineral products under.

am i the only person who has issues w/ UDPP???

Ok, lemme append to this thread:

Have any of the "dark-skinned" MUTers had a chalky look after puttin UDPP on? Or rather anybody had this problem putting it on a dark skintone. I put it on, and there's this like white-wash on my lids. And it looks weird even after I put on the shadow...

(Maybe my technique is off)

Although it's not "mineral based" since I doubt any primers are (except for the powder ones). Try milan minerals' gelle drops. It's clear and kept the e/s on all day. I was shocked. Also Milan minerals is created by a dark skinned black woman, so she made something we (dark skinned chicks) can use.

I use my setting powder (I have a great one from Elemental Beauty called Matt) as a MMU primer over my moisturiser and under my foundation. I also use this over my eye area. After that I apply my MMU foundation, also over eye area (sometimes I use a little undereye concealer too when I need it) and then I apply my eyeshadow. Over that I apply another thin layer of MMU setting powder, and then I set my makeup with a thin mist of water. All makeup stays put all day, no creasing eyeshadow either.

Bare Escentuals has their own and it is sheer - only available on their website for now.

Bare Escentuals just came out with one. I really want to try it. If it works as good as their face primer, it will definately be a winner!

udpp = urban decay primer potion

I like Fyrinnae shadow base, although it's not all minerals. It works well, not as well as udpp, but pretty good. Just make sure you do smooth it out very well before putting on e/s.
