my hair is about shoulder length, thick, and really curly.

my chi works great.. i long thick curly/wavy hair and nothing had been able to get it completely straight until i got a Chi

You can't go wrong with a Chi. It's an unbelievable flat iron that works with almost any hair type.

I love my chi it works really well. But i tend to get alot of breakage from it.. but maybe thats just my hair but overall it works wonders. I've also heard great things about the Sedu
