For those of you who don't know, the melbourne cup is the horserace that is described as one that 'stops the nation'. It's held at this time every year and shops, hospitals, restaurants.. everything, usually stops to watch the race, lol.

The winners this year were

Efficient 1st

Purple Moon 2nd

Mahler 3rd

I bet on Mahler getting a place or a win so yay I will get some money back

I got so wrapped up in work yesterday as I was really busy I forgot all about it. My mum went on the Melbourne cup cruse on Sunday so she was at the race, the boat (opps ship) returns Friday morning into Darling Harbour so will pick her up.
