French Manicure Polish that stays!?

I have naturally long nails and I really just enjoy doing them myself.  I do french manicure nails but I can't stand how by the end of the night the polish is peeling off.  It's like I can't keep this nail polish on for longer then a day or two and well it's a process getting them painted.  Is there a trick to keep this polish to stick?  I believe it is because there is so much polish on the nail that it all just comes off....any ideas??  Hope that made sense!!

I paint down around the tip and use a good topcoat. It makes it last longer.

I agree. I use a base and top coat and whatever color for tips, making sure to paint and seal my edges. I get a lot of wear and never chip the first few days.
