Gifting This Holiday season- what about PERSONALIZED BEAUTY BOXES??

im not sure your interested, but i know many who are!! 

personally, i would love it if some thought about me enough to get me a gift that was made for me- sadly, i think im the only one i know who cares about others to do that. 

i mean, completely impersonal gifts like cash cards or socks offend me. . . especially cuz i stress and obsess about what to get people. . . 

Although on year i did get a gift of Yves Rocher Carribean Aloe  Vera body wash/bubble bath. i havent found it since /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

i dunno. a box of bubbles, some pretty scents, a new lippie? id love it!

what about you? if you could have someone take the time to personalize a gift box of favourite things, what would you put in it, and who would be giving it to you?

I do make gift bags/boxes up for friends and family on the regular and put a lot of thought and time into it. Parties, showers, I do pretty well and seem to be in tune with my friends' wants/likes. I've even bought tattoo sessions for friends lol. My friends do not and several have epically failed trying to do so. There was the time a friend got me a bath, body set in her signature fragrance, knowing I hated the scent on me..I helped her pick it out for herself months before and the spray smelled great on her and out of the bottle, but disgusting on me. We laughed over it forever.. until I opened my gift and saw it in there! I think she forgot it was my birthday and had to scramble around last minute, looking for a present. I generally tell people to give me gift cards for holidays and my birthday. Rather than put no thought or effort into a gift or give me something I'll never use/want... A gift card is sensible and gives me free reign to indulge. Then I don't feel bad returning or regifting unwanted items.

I would love to give these but I feel uncomfortable unless I know specifically what someone would like. I really don't prefer to receive these because I am allergic to so much. I would much rather have a gift card to a store I like so I can choose.

I make my own for people in my family or close friends.  I am a person people generally look up to for advice I wouldn't sell something like that. It would be me taking the thought and a lot of personal touch and love to give someone something awesome and touching.

All fair enough! im just curious what other people think, cause this is the kin of thing i like to make for gifts for people. im giving out two this year at christmas, my sister gets on and my bestfriend, too!
