FROM DRAB TO FAB - IN JUST 10 MINUTES!

<TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width=370 align=center border=0><TBODY><TR><TD>Are you gloomy getting up in the mornings? Do you feel bored with yourself and your routine? If you want to go from Drab to Fab, just follow our 12 Step Plan to re-energise your daily life. And remember - it only takes 10 minutes!

</TD></TR><TR><TD>Step 1 - Lose the Snooze
Get out of bed as soon as your alarm goes off. Pressing the snooze button over and over again gives you a sluggish start to the day. As soon as you get up, have a good stretch to get the energy going round your whole body. Don't overdo it, just shrug your shoulders up to your ears then down again, and raise your arms to point towards the ceiling, while you stretch to stand on your tiptoes for a moment or two. And while you're stretching, stretch your facial muscles to with a wide smile - it's a scientifically proven fact that smiling actually makes you feel good...

</TD></TR><TR><TD>

</TD></TR><TR><TD>Step 2 - Change your Routine
We all have our routines and habits, but sometimes 'outine' can equal 'rut' and simply changing the order, or the way you do things can make all the difference. If you brush your teeth before you wash your face, do it the other way round. If you get dressed before breakfast, breakfast in your dressing gown tomorrow morning. Walk or drive to school / work / shops a different way. You'll be amazed at the change it makes.

</TD></TR><TR><TD>Step 3 - Dress to Make Yourself Feel Good (1)
Whatever your age, shape or size, you can give yourself an instant boost by choosing feel-good clothes. Ditch all your old underwear - that pair of knickers with saggy elastic, won't help you to feel like a superstar, and neither will a washed-out grey vest. Wearing nice underwear is like wearing an extra layer of flattery next to your skin. Using a fresh-smelling fabric conditioner also helps as you get a quick feel-good smell as you pull your clothes over your head.

</TD></TR><TR><TD>Step 4 - Dress to Make Yourself Feel Good (2)
Wear something you love, and that you know makes you look good any time you need an image or confidence boost. Different colours also have positive effects on your mood. Red is attention getting, orange is creative, and even though some people associate the colour yellow with cowardice, it's actually a colour of confidence and self-esteem.

</TD></TR><TR><TD>Step 5 - Eat Fabulous, Feel Fabulous
We all know the rule about not skipping breakfast, so make sure you have a good one to set you up for the day. But did you know that certain foods can give you extra energy, and help you combat stress? Try to include them in your daily diet. Fab foods include: basil, sage, cereals, bananas, root vegetables, seafoods, chicken and eggs. Herbs to help combat stress include basil and rosemary, while foods to avoid are full-fat dairy produce, too much salt, and too many processed foods.

</TD></TR><TR><TD>

</TD></TR><TR><TD>Step 6 - Your Car as a Spa
Many people's days include long periods sitting in traffic, either on the way to work, on the school run, or going to and from the shops. Turn these journeys into Feel-Fabulous trips by playing relaxing music on the car stereo. Or what about trying out some talking books? If you reckon you never get time to read, you can enjoy some classics on your way to the supermarket (although don't forget to concentrate on your driving too!). Clear all the clutter and junk out of your car. A couple of nice cushions or a soft blanket on the back seat make for a nicer environment, and you can keep a hankie with a few drops of your favourite essential oil on the dashboard. Try Bergamot, Orange, Juniper or Grapefruit. Have a bottle of mineral water and a snack bar handy, and your car can become your personal spa!

</TD></TR><TR><TD>

</TD></TR><TR><TD>Step 7 - Drab to Fab in your Environment
Whether you work in an office, in the home, or a bit of both, a drab environment can make you feel gloomy just by looking at it. Fresh flowers instantly perk up any room or area. Personalise your office space with a miniature plant, framed photographs of family or of you and your friends. Pin up a calendar with beautiful views, or what about one with amusing (or intriguing) sayings? On a sunny day, open the windows and get a breath of air running through the room, and do you need to be told that clearing out the clutter will make you feel better immediately? Thought not...

</TD></TR><TR><TD>
s.gif

</TD></TR><TR><TD>Step 8 - Take a Break
Don't just grab a sandwich and work through lunch. Give yourself a proper break - you deserve it. Take a walk, go somewhere you've never been before, try something new to eat. Whatever you do, when lunchtime comes make sure you have a proper break, away from whatever it is you were working on. You'll return to your task with renewed energy. Energising lunch foods include: nuts, yoghurt, apples, pears, fish, prawns, wholemeal pasta, green vegetables.

</TD></TR><TR><TD>

</TD></TR><TR><TD>Step 9 - Treat Yourself
We often spend so much time looking after everyone else, that we forget to look after ourselves. Treating yourself is not only a lovely thing to do, but also reminds you that you are special and need a little looking after too. It might be a trip to the cinema, coffee with a friend, a pair of earrings you've had your eye on - whatever it is, make it yours, and make yourself happy.

</TD></TR><TR><TD>

</TD></TR><TR><TD>Step 10 - Magic Makeovers
Makeovers don't have to cost a fortune, in fact they don't have to cost anything! Get together with a friend, or maybe with your daughter, and give each other manicures and pedicures. Style each other's hair, groom eyebrows, swap makeup tips and tricks - it's a weekly routine guaranteed to make you feel more beautiful.

</TD></TR><TR><TD>http://www.livingonline.ie/pictures/common/s.gif'>http://www.livingonline.ie/pictures/common/s.gif

</TD></TR><TR><TD>Step 11 - Make Time for You
See if you can give yourself a mini-break everyday, by taking half an hour to yourself. You might run a lovely bubbly bath, listen to music and read a book or magazine in your room, call a friend for a good old natter. The important thing is to create a little energising space each day away from the demands of family life.

</TD></TR><TR><TD>http://www.livingonline.ie/pictures/common/s.gif

</TD></TR><TR><TD>Step 12 - End the Day on a Positive Note
At bedtime take stock of the day, awarding yourself a pat on the back for any successes, however small. You might have achieved something at work, or helped a child with their homework. You might have competed a household task you'd been putting off. Whatever it is, every day brings its positive moments, and mentally reminding yourself of them is a very good way to round off the day. Then climb into bed, and sleep tight - it's going to be another fabulous day tomorrow!
