I go to work today and everything is normal. Worked till about 5 and my co-worker was brushing out the last dog so I could groom it and she gets a call on her phone. Her mother is crying hysterically and she kept asking her, "Mama, what's wrong?" "Why are you crying?" "Mama, just tell me why you're crying?" "What's wrong, WHAT'S WRONG?!" Her mother tells her that her dog has been torn up by her two American Bulldogs in the backyard. They broke through the fence and tore the poor baby to shreds. What's really sad is that he was tied up in the backyard as he will run away if not tied up. He was stuck there while they attacked him. He usually stays in the house, but they let him outside for a few hours everyday to run around.
She rushed home and brought him back up and was BAWLING, which of course, makes me bawl. She is going to try to save him, but she can only do so up to a certain amount of money. Thank God we work at a vet clinic cause when something happens to an employee dog such as this, the owner will cut you a break on the bill. She may still have to have him put to sleep, however. They were in the process of having exploratory surgery on him when I left.
Also, I forgot to mention, her uncle had just died a few days ago. She was supposed to go out of town for his funeral this weekend. And right before she got that call, she said to us, "You know, death always comes in threes."
