Hey there,

I'm trying to decide on a new hairstyle after letting my hair grow out for almost two years, without it having been cut or trimmed even at all during those two years.

Basically, my hair is straight and long....and I'm looking for some kind of Asian hairstyle that makes use of long hair (I want to keep the length, it's below shoulders).

But I need something that doesn't require ANY type of product at all (no wax, no jel, no hairspray, etc).

Almost all images I find online at hair salon near me involve some kind of product being used or the hair is naturally wavy, etc. Anyone have any suggestion?

Certainly! Maintaining a natural look without using any hair products can still yield a stylish and chic appearance. Here are a few Asian-inspired hairstyles for long, straight hair that don't necessitate the use of any hair products:

  1. Classic Straight with a Middle Part: This timeless look involves parting your hair in the middle and letting it fall naturally on both sides. It's a simple and clean style that complements long, straight hair beautifully.
  2. Low Ponytail with a Twist: Gather your hair at the nape of your neck and secure it with a hair tie. Then, take a small section of hair from the ponytail and wrap it around the hair tie to give it a more polished appearance. This style is effortless and elegant, perfect for keeping long hair tidy without any product.
  3. Sleek and Simple Braid: Create a traditional three-strand braid, ensuring it's not too tight to avoid any discomfort. You can position the braid over one shoulder or let it fall down your back. This style is practical, especially for keeping your hair in place without the need for any styling products.
  4. Loose Side Braid: Part your hair slightly off-center and gather it into a loose side braid. This style gives a relaxed yet put-together look, and the natural texture of your hair will add a subtle charm to the overall appearance.
  5. Half-Up Bun: Take the top half of your hair and tie it into a bun while leaving the remaining hair down. This style provides a neat and stylish look without requiring any additional products to maintain it.
Experiment with these suggestions to find the one that best suits your preferences and complements your natural hair texture. Enjoy your new hairstyle!
