Help me figure out this movie

theres this movie i remember watching a few years ago, it was like in 2002ish? it was on hbo, so i was probably made before that, but it was about this girl that just finished high school and was about to start college and she goes to this rock show and like falls in love with the lead singer of the band, and eventually ends up with him, but its kinda just sex, not really a relationship, lol, i remember loving the movie, but i cant think of the name of it

i put the word "with" instead of "this" in the title, and i dont believe it was a made for hbo movie

Almost famous is about a young guy (15) who travels with a band and writes for Rolling Stone Magazine. Based on a true story I think
