I'm Maggie, I'm new here. I've gotten slightly hooked on subscription boxes, so I've been lurking around here a bit lately reading the subscription box threads and just finally made an account. So far I just get Birchbox and Sample Society, plus a couple of those limited edition Craveboxes.
I'm generally a fan of surprise packages, I was addicted to FabricMart mystery bundles for awhile.. but beauty sample boxes take up much less space, and my fabric stash has gotten a little out of control. Okay, fine, more than a little out of a control.
I'm not entirely sure how long I'll keep up the sample box thing. I totally love getting the boxes, but I've been browsing Bramble Berry, eying all the cosmetic and soap ingredients, and eventually I'll have to start experimenting with making more of my own stuff. (Especially since I'm one of those paler-and-the-lightest-makeup-color people. And I'm just never satisfied with how somebody else wanted something.) It would probably be too expensive to keep up doing both.
I blog, but nothing cosmetic related.. mostly sewing and 3D modeling. I'm not really much of a blogger, but if I don't post every so often, my mother starts Googling me.
Hoping to learn from y'all.. I'm still unsure with most makeup. I like basic care stuff like hair and skin repair stuff and finishing powder, but I'm pretty shaky when it comes to more obvious makeup. I usually feel like I look too made-up.
