So...whatcha think?

I always color my own hair and then highlight over it. I have been doing this for years. I use L'Oreal Preference and then L'Oreal Hairpainting Kit over that. It always turns out great and looks natural. I also save myself about $60 a pop!

My question to you is...Can a person highlight over non-permanent haircolor? I was thinking of using L'Oréal ColorSpa Moisture Actif Color Gel (a 28 day washout haircolor) and then using my usual hairpainting kit over it like I usually do.

So....whatcha think?

You can... but the semi-perm. might lighten up over time - but if you use a dark color - it won't lighten that much. Usually any of the browns you are pretty safe with. It's pretty much the same as it would be with a perm. color... but it may lighten up a bit.
