How did your makeup addiction start?

I've always loved makeup but just decided to really get into it...

For a long time I've been thinking about totally making myself over into someone whos more glamorous so makeup is just part of that.

The makeup videos on youtube have inspired me alot though.

What a question! I guess it was watching my mother doing her make up. She is still a good looking woman, but she was like a movie star when she was younger.

Honestly, mine didn't really start til about 2 years ago when I left my ex husband. I was doing some retail therapy and had never been in a MAC store. I went nuts and the rest is history.

I've always been interested in makeup but I think it has really become an addiction in the last year. We had an Ulta and a Sephora open up and I've always like to shop so now it is really convenient for me.

One of my cousins worked for Vera Moore Cosmetics and I used to see her working at the makeup counter when I was little. She spurned my interest in makeup at a very young age.

Mine started because of dry lips. I always had really dry lips, so was constantly hunting for a good lip balm. That then turned to the hunt for great lip glosses, lipsticks etc and it just grew from there.

Mine started about 2 years ago when I got a Sheer Cover kit online... Then I started getting curious about makeup and started buying BE eyeshadow samples on Ebay... Then one thing led to another and I ended up finding MuT, where I learned about Sephora and MAC.... And now I pretty much have a mini -sephora in my bathroom! LOL

I always liked makeup and getting ready (although not anymore cause it's getting annoying not being a natural beauty).

But I didn't start buying more and more until I started looking up MU reviews and realizing that I could find better buys than what I had and I started trying more things and seeing what worked for me. And MUT isn't helping, but I slowed down and stopped buying so much cause I have enough blushes to last me a couple years.

I was always jealous of women and how their skin seemed to even toned. So I started with skin products. It just grew from there. I started to notice cool colors and the art style aspect to it all.

Easily, I was 13 when I started be able to use mascara and lip gloss, all down hill from there, the more the better, and its gotten worse since a friend of mine is a MA and she took me on some jobs to help, now I have a hard time not trying to figure out what looks good on people and love it when friends ask!!

I wopld def have to say watching my mom do her makeup every morning before she would go to work or go out at night...she inspired me since i was like 5 with makeup..lol

Well I was always facinated with makeup and all things feminine.. Starting when I was 8... And dabbled in it in my teens... But 5 years ago it just hit me with a vengence... And I went out and bought makeup books, and videos.. And watched TV.. Practiced like every day for two years... Basically taught myself..

And when I found MUT it opened a whole new chapter for me.... Now its almost an obsession.. On top of my other obsessions!! Lol
