...without bleach? I have a bunch of reg. whites, but I also have white with colors on it as well. You can't use bleach on that, so I was wondering what you use?

I head vinegar and baking soda work well...

Okay, I am so thrilled I finally fet to share this tip. Go to the dollar store, there is a product called "AWESOME". you will find it in the cleaning isle. Pour all of it into your washing detergent. You do not need bleach after that. Pour 1 cup of baking soda into the washing machine and the amount of detergent into the washing machine as desired (the detergent should already contain the awesome). Get ready to be wowed.

I pour about a half cup of borax in each load. Not only does it brighten clothes but it gets rid of odors that detergent can't cover up.

Ditto on the Oxiclean. I use a scoop in every load of laundry. Plus, it's cheap. My mom used to buy it for me at the dollar store all the time.
