Hey everyone so I'm freaking out because I haven't gotten a call back from Sephora in a week. I applied on a Sunday then that following Thursday I got called for Friday in which I had a group interview. Then the next Tuesday they called me for a solo interview the next day on Wednesday. Now its the following Wednesday and I haven't heard word back. I nailed that second interview so I'd be shocked if I didn't get the job. Is this normal? I would think they would have called in a few days. They didn't offer me the job on the spot because I got interviewed by a different manager at a different store, but she said she would give the feedback to the original two store managers that interviewed me at the group interview for that store.

I know that they often call your references and do your background check before hired and that could take a while. I know some people say they get don't get hired for a month or even two. But the process seemed to be going really quick. Plus they said they were hiring a lot, and it didn't matter if we wanted to work at the other stores around the area because they were all hiring so if we wanted to work at another store we would just be transfered. And I applied to all of the stores nearby.

Am I just freaking out..or is there a possibility I'm not getting hired. The manager at the second interview said I would be good as a cashier because I already have one year experience being a hostess/cashier/takout person at a resturant so I'm used to multitasking and working in a fast pace environment. Also her and I had many commonalities, such as interests, and she even said she liked my answers. So if I would answer a question she would say like "love that" or "totally agree" or we'd go off talking about our experiences and such. I felt it was such a great interview. Im just freaking out huh?

Did they give you a time frame? In interviews, I usually ask towards the end when I can expect to hear from them as to whether I obtained a position. When there is a large hiring, many employers have to weed through a lot of candidates and after interviews, cross check references and consult with the interview panel/dept heads before the congrats go out. Maybe on Friday morning, you could reach out to see if there's been any updates?

I told her that id be available free for the next three weeks (since I don't have school) and then my schedule would change in January. She than said well if we decide to hire you which would be 1 or 2 weeks and by the time we trained you it would look more like January that you'd be working. So I'm guessing a week or two.
