I was wondering if ya'll could tell me how old you gotta be in order to get into the casinos in las vegas, nevada? My bfs mom and step dad are planning on going there to get married and they want me to come along and so Im just wondering how old you have to be get in. Hes sayin you gotta be 21 and his mom is sayin 20. Hopefully ya'll can answer my question.

21 to gamble and 18to beon the floor. I've been going to the casinosince iwas 16 though at the hardrock but its hotel and casino

Yeah I think in most places you have to be 21, some places you have to be 21 to even be in there. But I think there are places where you can be 18 to get in, but not gamble.

21 for sure.

If you are under 21, at a hotel you cannot loiter on the casino floor. When we went last year security told my 19 year old bf had to smoke his ciggarette on the tile floor, not the carpetted floor, I stood on the carpet and Ha Ha'd at him lol!

Many of the hotels provide arcades, shopping and all sorts of things for people under 21.

The last time I was there, was a long time ago. I know the casinos I went to had signs that stated "No one under 21 is allowed within the casino area". I don't know about now, but a girl with our group was under 21 and she couldn't go in.

I think it is 21. Casionos can get in a lot of trouble. I know that when we went on a cruise they were really strict too. They would not even let us have our babies in their strollers on the carpeted area.

Dang. Hopefully they can wait until I turn 21 then. Its in feb so maybe they wont be wantin to get married anytime soon. Haha.

We can get in and gamble at 18.

So, from what you guys have been saying the gambling area is closed off from the actual floor?

I know in my Province the legal drinking age and casino entrance is 18, other Provinces the legal drinking age is 19, so possibly the same age with casinos.

Tell your bf's mom and step dad to head up to Canada.

I think it is hilarious, because my cousin and her two friends wanted to go to canada, and the casinos there because they all turned 18. So they asked me to go along with them. I went... I knew I would have fun. I was 24. Well, at the casino... they gave ME the most problems. They let all of the girls pass through, and kept me there for 10 minutes questioning me. I couldn't figure out why though... because I looked exactly like I did on my id. My license said corrective lenses... and they didn't see glasses on me (even though i wasn't wearing them on my id either) so I had to explain I had contacts in.

Too funny!

Here it is 21.

some states its 18 some its 21.

and some its 18, but since they serve alcohol there you gotta be 21.

Pshh. I wish they even followed their rules. My husbands friend went to Vegas for some military training a couple months ago and he doesn't look old, but he never got carded! NEVER. He's only 20. But other than that, I wouldn't know, but you won't be under age forever....

I went to Vegas a few years ago when I was 21. I got asked for ID several times while walking around the gaming floor so I guess you have to be 21.

i guess it's 21, because when i used to live in Brittany i was told i could not get in the casino and start gambling, only the bar, because i was under 18 (the legal age). i was told for the us it was higher.

If you're just attending the wedding, you're fine...as long as you don't try to gamble.

Have an ID you can borrow from someone?

See the thing is I dont want to gamble. I just want to go inside and see what its like. I dont have the money to gamble specially with me going back to college. Just wanna see inside. Hopefully they will let me. If not, oh well.

I work as a Table Games Dealer and it is against the law to use a fake ID. The casino will get a HUGE fine and if you are playing table games, the dealer could actually be fired for letting you play underage. Also, you will be 86ed from the property and possibly be fined as well. So don't risk it.
