How to add images into Threads and or Posts

Three Different Ways to upload or copy Images


1. To add a photo or graphic from another website into a post, please do the following:
  • Go to website where you would like to get an image.
  • Hover mouse over desired image and LEFT button click the image.
  • After you LEFT button click the image, click the RIGHT mouse button - You will get a drop down menu.
  • Slide down the menu and click COPY
  • Return to Makeuptalk and go into your 'new thread' or 'post reply' window
  • Place flashing cursor where you would like your desired image to appear and click the LEFT mouse button
  • When you get the flashing cursor where you want it, click the RIGHT mouse button - You will get another drop down menu
  • Select PASTE (you should now see your image)
  • Highlight image again in the MUT window using Step 2 above.
  • In the MUT tools above, click on the REMOVE LINK icon

    <-------- (This Icon is the "Remove Link" icon). This is only if the image has a link, some do not
You should now see your image when you submit your reply to the thread.

2. Image uploads directly to the forums(like FOTDS here)
  • Start a new thread/reply to a post
  • Click on the Manage Attachments button
  • When the popup window comes up, click on the the Browse button
  • Locate your desired picture from your computer then double click it
  • ClickUpload (wait for the upload to finish)
  • You can continue to upload pictures
  • Once finished, click Close window
  • Finish your thread/reply and hit submit, images will be in there automatically thumbnailed

3. Your Notepad will hold images: upload a photo or graphic INTO your notepad and then into a post, please do the following:
  • Visit Your MakeupTalk Notepad here
  • click on the
    image.gif
    image from with your notepad
  • click on "browse" button in upper right hand corner of the uploader
  • locate your image from your local computer and double click the image
  • click on UPLOAD, and wait until it uploads
  • once uploaded, locate it on the left and click it once
  • then hit OK and you should see you image in your NOTEPAD
  • Hover mouse over desired image and LEFT button click the image.
  • After you LEFT button click the image, click the RIGHT mouse button - You will get a drop down menu.
  • Slide down the menu and click COPY
  • Return to Makeuptalk and go into your 'new thread' or 'post reply' window
  • Place flashing cursor where you would like your desired image to appear and click the LEFT mouse button
  • When you get the flashing cursor where you want it, click the RIGHT mouse button - You will get another drop down menu

Thanks NYAngel, these instructions are very clear and precise. I shall be trying this out.I will let you know how i get on.

 
Actually, I have set the forums to allow "image upload" now, just like you did before. I am going to write something else up soon on this

LOL he is 4 next month, that is an old picture. Here is a new one
 
His name is Cameron and in this picture he was less than a year old. He is almost 4 years now (will have 4th birthday next month).
