So, my mom and I go to Walmart today and we are looking at the flowers. We go to this one side and look down and there is this thing! that is buzzing the flowers and drinking nectar. We both said, "WTH is that!?!?" A baby hummingbird? OMG, it's a baby hummingbird! NOT! LOL

It was a hummingbird moth! I have NEVER in my life seen or even heard of one of these beautiful things! We were amazed, fascinated and flabbergasted. One of the ladies that was there came up to us and told us that she has them in her garden at home all of the time but she always thought they were baby hummingbirds too. I got home and did some research and discovered what they were. I didn't even know they were here in Texas! You learn something new everyday.

It's funny because they flutter their wings exactly like a hummingbird. I just knew it was a tame hummingbird but as we looked closer, it definitely was not. It was tan and pink and the cutest bug I have ever seen. LOL

First one I saw in Wiscinsin.. Knew it wasn't a hummingbird but had no clue.. thought it was some kind of alien thing.. Lol. They have another name.. Maybe a Spinx moth.. But was sure cool!!

Cool! I'm not sure if we have them in Canada. That is a great photo, interesting insect.

Yea we have them here in the summer. I can't believe you guys think they're cute! I hate bugs and these things are huge so they scare me!
