BRACES!

Again. I got them off back in 2000 and was a bad girl and didn't wear my top retainer like I should have (bad Alex) and now I am finally getting them again! The appointment to get them put on is Thursday, November 15.

I have insurance that covers up to $1,250 for orthodontic treatment - which is over 1/3 off the total cost!! Treatment time should be about 14 months, which really shouldn't be that long - these days my days go by so much faster!

I am pretty excited about this - I didn't mind having braces in the first place and now the brackets are smaller and thinner. That means they will be less noticeable and less annoying!

Here are some recent pictures of me that you can kinda see how my teeth are before...again - I used to have perfect teeth and then I didn't wear my retainer. Kind of embarrassing - but oh well, right? At least I know they are getting fixed

Well hopefully this time you will learn your lesson and wear your retainer on your top teeth. I never wore mine either just one tooth moved. Oh well tho, hopefully I wont them again. Good luck tho. Good to hear insurance is coverin 1/3 of it.

man i stopped wearing my retainer when it went all rusty and weird. I've thrown it out n now I feel kind of worried that I should wear it.. lol

it was a grossy plastic thing i hated, i was supposed to keep it for one year and stopped using it completely after 9 or 10 months.

lol I miss picking colors for my braces. I really need to get them again. I had them in 5th grade till 7th grade

Well I still have the dreaded retainers. My dogs chewed them up once and well I went back to the orthodontic because of the fear that my teeth would look anything like they did when I first got braces. I still wear them at night, but you can tell I am not religious about it.

One of my bottom teeth did move, and its a little out, but oh well. I don't think I can ever put myself though the painful braces again. I had them in clear when I was younger, but when I would drink soup they would turn a nasty yellow. I had a nasty bugs bunny overbite and I had braces for four years.

However, I love that they gave me a nicer smile, I would never take back and not have braces! So it will make you happier in the long run
