Poor Jude Law. Having to carry around all that guilt and fear of discovery when having an affair is tough to handle. Fortunately for him, he was caught sleeping with his children's nanny while engaged to actress Sienna Miller. Even better, his transgression was made very public.

The 34-year-old actor tells News of The World, "I'm not happy I hurt people. But I am happy it was on such a public level. In a way it was like washing your laundry in public, and yep, there you go, you've seen all the rubbish. Now I feel there's nothing left, you've seen it all and I can get on. In a weird way, that's kind of wonderful."

You know, I kind of understand what he's saying here. Having your ugly side exposed to the world might force a person to take stock and make changes. But to think it is wonderful to publicly hurt your loved ones because it ultimately helped you is the height of narcissism.

i agree with both dixie and jude. well if he feels better to get stuff out into the open, perhaps it meant it was like w eight on his shoulders, guilt? he expresses it very poorly and in a crass way though.

he's needed to get some priorities straight but why be such a self involved jerk? omg....classless! i think he may ahve just not been ready to get married, he could have broke it off before he boned his nanny. jeez!

Sorry, but i dont think there is a justification for cheating. Like i always tell the bf, break up with me before you **** someone else. that way, no one has to deal with any guilt.

Adultery is so commonplace nowadays, it is terrible! I always tell my husband if he ever beats or cheats on me we are THROUGH!

ugh i totally agree that it's the height of narcissism! Jude law is a jerk.

I do see his point though.. but I don't think he should get off so easily, like he treated Sienna so badly and he doesn't even care he's let go of the guilt already! like WTF! seems unfair!

Did anyone see the naked photo of him that was on the internet soon after all that mess? Not pretty...
