I have a lipglass that doesn't smell so nice and vanilla anymore. It still smells a little bit like vanilla, but it smells more chemically than it did when it was new. Does this mean is has gone bad? The texture is still ok. The smell doesn't really bother me so much, but is it still ok to use? How will I know if it has really gone bad? Thanks all!

How long have you had it for? For me, if it smells bad then I usually throw it out.

I've had it a few months maybe, but I bought it off ebay. I don't want to throw it out because I love it so much, but I also don't want to get ill from bad lipglass.

I had a lipglass go bad on me about 4 months after I bought it, but I bought it from a counter. I emailed MAC customer service to tell them of my experience and that I was pretty unhappy about my $14 lipgloss going bad after 4 months, and they sent me a free replacement lipglass!

Well it does still smell a little bit like vanilla, so maybe I can use it all up before the smell gets too bad. I'll definitely have to call MAC customer service about it. I wonder if the fact that I bought it from ebay will make a difference to them. Oh well, now I have one soon to be B2M.
