Mac 217

Hi

I've had this brush for years and have always used it for blending. Recently I saw a programme which used a much longer thinner MAC brush which looked better for blending.

What is the 217 for please? Have I been using it wrong all these years.

The 217 is a blending brush so you haven't been doing anything wrong. MAC has about 6 blending brushes though which are of different shapes and sizes.

Theres no wrong way to use a brush. If it works for blending than use it that way but i think it is used for blending anyway.

217 is a blending brush, you are using it correctly. You can also use it to apply eyeshadow. The brush you saw was probably the 222.

As far as blending goes, I have the 217, 222 and 224. The 222 is great for crease blending but so is the 217. To be honest, if you have the 217, you don't need any other blending brush.

I use mine for applying and blending my crease colour.

i use the 217 to blend my crease color and as well as to highlight my brow bones.
