Hi everyone! I know the MAC Tasti lipglasses are being discontinued/limited edition, but if I were able to get ahold of one, does anyone have any idea which would look good on me? And, do they taste good as well as smell good?

I recently went to my local MAC counter, and the MA put something on my that she insisted was a Tasti, but it smelled and tasted like clay, nothing sweet as I've heard. Plus, it was such a light bubblegum pink that it made me look dead and washed out! It was horrible! I was in a rush so I didn't get to ask around with any other MAs.

So, I'm a PPP/FFF, (fair skinned), MAC NC15 / NC20, with honey-brown hair and blue/grey eyes. Any ideas as to which one would look good on me?

Thanks!!!

Kage..There are some new tasti's coming out with the Sorbet story so it could have been a newer color..The older shades have various candy scents with a sugary taste to them..If you come across the older ones check out..Latte Lick,Sweet Brule and Haute Chocolate(all various nude shades wih different undertones)I think these shades would look the best on you..Unless you like darker shades then I'd try Coco Framboise(reddish brown) and Jah Moka(purplish brown)I prefer the darker shades that show up as a light stain..

Those Sorbet ones look yummy! Actually, I'm pretty sure this was one of the older Lipglass Stains, because it was one of those tubes - I don't remember the name, but it was *not* one of the names of the Tastis, because I had repeat the name and write it down, but I lost it. And had to have been old, because it smelled/tasted like clay, no joke. So much for everything MAC smelling like vanilla, or sweet in general. This stuff was gagging nasty!

I found it!!! It was a Lipglass Stain called "Briefly Pink," and it was *not* part of the Tastis set, although I specifically asked for the Tastis. She insisted it was, and I just let it go, but I knew it wasn't one of the names I knew as part of the Tastis. I found an Ebay auction where it even says it smells like Vanilla, and this must have been rancid because it was like clay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...sPageName=WDVW This color was a limited lipglass stain and is sold out! Very hard to find, "Briefly Pink" is a sexy Nude Pink shade that would look great with a summer tan. Mac lipglass stain is designed to be worn on its own or over lipstick. Perfect for creating shine that lasts, can impart subtle or dramatic color. It's infused with vanilla for a light scent. It may look pretty on some, but it made me look ill. Plus, like I said, it was rancid. Ewww.

According to the book, "Color Me Beautiful" you would be a "Summer " with a pink skin tone that looks best in cool colors with blue undertones, like fuchsia. Summers can have skin that is pale beige with delicate pink cheeks, brown hair, and hazel, gray-green, or blue or green eyes.

If this describes you, your recommended colors are:

"...the whole family of lavender, orchid, and mauve pastels. In addition... daker tones of plum, burgundy or raspberry, though fair Summers may need to keep a softer shade near the face. Avoid gold tones... All Summers should avoid black, pure white, yellow-beige, gold, orange, yellow-greens, and all yellow undertones..."

Does this sound like you, Kage_sCup??? If not, I can check out the book again. Maybe a different season suits you better? Let me know, k?

If anyone else wants me to look up their colors in this book, let me know. I have the book for another week or so.

If this analysis is right, your lipgloss, clothes, and makeup colors would be ones like these:

Is "Summer" the one that is pale and burns easily? That would be me...if so.

I tend to wear a lot of blue, red, purple, and oddly enough, green. lol I don't really wear a lot of pink, but I have some fuschia and such. Who knows?

I'm pastey white when it comes to my skin...lol.

I need to go check out the other thread and see what the other options are...though this might be me. I remember finding a website once that described everything...and even had I and II options for some seasons.

Hey, if I'm considered "cool" in skin tones, versus "warm" or "neutral," would that have to do with the seasons? Like, are "cool" people also "Summer," and "warm" people considered "Winter?" Kind of like...in the summer we stay cool, and in the winter they stay warm? LOL

Just curious...

Heya Kage_sCup!

I moved the skin undertone messages to the following link so that it didn't go off topic too much.

To see your answers.

Cool seasons are Winter and Summer, Whereas warm seasons are Spring and Autumn.

Winters and summers have blue, red, pinkish undertones, while Springs and Autumns have golden, yellowish or warm undertones and look good in gold- based colors.

Here is a handy url for you to explain this:

And here is a summary of the colors for each seaon:

Autumn
