MAC users - how do you organize your palettes?

I am depotting some shadows and need to get another 15 e/s palette. How do you guys organize yours? Also, do you depot the e/s from the 4 quad (like Beau) or do you leave them in their palette?

I never depot the pre-made quads. I guess if there was some color in it that I hated or preferred with another color, then I'd do it. But so far, I like all my quads just as they are. As for my 15 pans.... I do them by color. All of my browns/tans/golds are together, all of my greens/blues, etc. And then I have one for my VP's which I refuse to put with my other finishes. I hope that I'll someday have enough VPs to fill a 15 pan. Now if ony MAC will create some more VPs for us!!!

Thanks Tracy. How come you don't put your VP's with other shadows?

They're special; they're my favorites... the other finishes are not worthy to be stored with my precious veluxe pearls!! (I mean that too!)

You are funny! The reason I started thinking that I wanted to depot my quads was because that way they would take up less room in my traincase.

Well that's a good reason and a great idea, marisol! However, since I sometimes suck at putting colors together, I take the quads as they are. I wish I was better at visualizing different color pairings, or triplings, or whatever (is triplings a word?) LOL

I got the Tease Me Quad last night and didn't like the colors.

Is that the one with the grayish colors in it? or the browns? I cant remember off hand, but I do have both tease me and tempt me. I like both of them a lot. Actually, I like looking at the one with the gray(s) cuz I havent used it yet. But I'm sure that I'll like it once I give it a try. I have TOO much stuff that I have not had a chance to use yet!! This is a sickness!!!

I just checked MAC's website and I have a few VP's and they are awesome colors. I have beautiful iris, freshwater, expensive pink, coppering and star violet. I really want to get shimmermoss.

Ohhhh! That's it! I think those are awesome colors!!! I should go ahead and try them out. I've been holding off on trying it because it reminds me too much of the Perverted Pearl quad that I have. However, I was told that once on the skin, the colors are completely different. I guess I'll find out.

Anyway, there are so many neat possibilities with that quad. Go crazy with the colors and have fun..... you cant go wrong. I know, I know, I said that I've not tried it yet, but I'm thinking that I'll use it like I do the perverted pearl quad. If that's the case, you cant go wrong no matter how you use it..... It will look wonderful. Post some pics and let us see what you come up with!!

i organize by color. but then i didn't have enough creams or blues to filla palette,so i put those together.

i keep the premade ones to remember what they go with . i don't want to ruin them

i try to group everything together i have my blues and teals together i havemy greens together ihave my purples together i need to get another 15 pan for my neutrals those are all in 4 pans right now

I also organise mine by colours.

If i remember correctly my palettes are:

neutrals

blue, blacks and whites

greens

oranges & pink

purples

i need to get another palette so i can depot my d'bohemia colours.

everytime i buy new colours or depot, i rearrange the plaettes.

with my pre-made quads, i keep them as they are.

I guess im the only one without a pan,I have too much going on with the kids that when i do have time to do it,im super tired,even more now that ive been going to the gym.I think id have my sis do it for me ,she's pretty crafty.When i do finally get around to it,i will organize them by colors.how much is the 15 pan thing?do you buy it at the mac store?

I just bought a 15 pan pallette from the MAC store and it was $12.00.
