I decided to take the drive to Sephora as the colors were just too cool. The MA offered an application so I can see what it looked like. One thing for certain though, no matter what the shade or how it's applied, blue wil always look like crap on me. She was taken back though by how good purple looks on me.

I'm definately putting blues automatically on the do not buy list. I did get the purple though, Glad I got it, but not as metallic as the picture suggests. I also got urban decay primer, that stuff is cool. Totally changes the look of what your applying.

Interesing though, I always considered MAC overrated. But after trying Sephora brand, I much prefer the MAC. Sephora seem to ball up and fall off during application. Just me, or has anyone else experienced this?

On a humorous note, there was this lady there that made them all very uncomfortable. They asked her what kind of look she was going for and said some very inappropriate things. I never thought a women could make MA's uncomfortable but this one managed. Crazy.

Anyway, I has server whos makeup looked amazing. Very shimmery in shades of purple, so I just had to ask. It's all MAC. IMO Sephora had the stronger branding image, but MACs quality is much better.

Hi,
I also can not wear e/s colors in blue. At least I'm in good company.

I'm not really a fan of the Sephora brand makeup, and I will always grab my MAC e/s over them.

BUT, that being said...

It's weird I have over a hundred MAC e/s... but I tend to grab my Stila or Lorac shadows over them. I'll grab my Nars blush over my MAC blush.

I have an insane amount of MAC, and I think I recently hit MAC overload. I don't even want to look at anything MAC right now.

I will always love my MAC "classics" such as deckchair and coco pigments, and goldbit e/s, who's that lady lipgelee, all my MSF's especially shimpagne and stereo rose. I will always stay faithful to those.

I've pretty much got all I'm gunna need for a while, minus an eyeliner. I've got a nice set of basic colors due to a recent purchases, so I don't feel the need for any more. Sure there are things I'd like to have, but it's not pressing.
Oh BTW the, 'oh so cool' mac color I saw was called copperring. Super metallic and very cool. Just a heads up.

Hmm...makes you wonder if the price really reflects the quality or not.
